This alluring and calm garden has many touching stories to tell of its own. The gardens height is at an elevation of 915 metres to 1830 metres. The story of the garden dates back to 1900 when Alfred Wathan the Manager of the garden and his wife Mary lost their baby daughter. The couple created a flower garden around the little baby's grave, where they would rest after work. The nearby spring was the source of the water for the garden, it is said that the spring was a source of solace for the parents they found peace there. The garden is referred with names like Wathan Kaman, Wathan’s tea garden.
